These Terms of Service govern your use of Tandy, a service operated by Plain Text Systems LLC (“Plain Text Systems,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using Tandy or this website, you agree to these terms.
What Tandy does
Tandy helps small service businesses receive customer requests, collect relevant details, notify the business owner, and relay owner-approved responses to customers. Tandy may also send request-related scheduling or job reminders and post-service review requests where the recipient has agreed to receive them.
Customer communications
When Tandy communicates on behalf of a business, that business remains responsible for its services, prices, availability, appointments, work, and promises to customers. Tandy does not provide the underlying service and is not a party to transactions between a customer and a business.
Tandy text messaging program
Customers may opt in to receive text messages from Tandy on behalf of the specific business they contacted. Messages are limited to the customer’s request and may include the business’s response, scheduling or job reminders, and one post-service review request. Tandy does not use this program for cold outreach.

Business owner responsibilities
Business owners must provide accurate information, keep their instructions current, honor their customer commitments, and use Tandy only to communicate with people who have initiated contact or otherwise provided legally sufficient consent. Business owners may not use Tandy for purchased lists, unsolicited marketing, unlawful content, fraud, harassment, or abusive messaging.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse Tandy, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, transmit malicious code, impersonate another person or business, or use the service in violation of applicable law or telecommunications rules.
Service availability
We work to keep Tandy available and accurate, but messaging networks, carriers, hosting providers, and other services can experience delays or interruptions. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service and will make reasonable efforts to avoid unnecessary disruption.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Tandy is provided “as is” and without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Plain Text Systems is not liable for the quality of a business’s services, missed or delayed communications outside our reasonable control, or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Tandy after an update means you accept the revised terms.
