Customer SMS consent

How customers opt in to Tandy texts

Tandy only texts someone after they start a service request with a specific business and make a separate choice to receive texts about that request.

The consent flow

  1. A customer visits the Tandy request page for the service business they want to contact.
  2. They describe the job and provide a mobile number where the business can reach them.
  3. They may separately check the SMS consent box shown below. It is always unchecked by default.
  4. They can submit the service request without checking the box. If they decline, Tandy does not send them SMS.
  5. If they opt in, Tandy may send only messages about that request, including the business’s reply, scheduling or job reminders, and one post-service review request. They can reply STOP at any time.
